Free-range Pork  Our pigs are raised outdoors, with free access to shelter, food and water. They are fed a natural barley and soy based feed with no additives and are not administered any antibiotics, growth hormones, or medications. They roam, root, dig, and interact with other pigs, and they get to keep their curly tails (these are cut off in conventional pig-rearing).They have lots of straw to keep them warm when it gets cold out.

Free-range Chicken We get our chicks at a day old. They live the first four weeks in a warm chicken coop, since they need an ambient temperature of around 85-90 degrees until they are able to regulate their own body temperature. The young chickens are then moved outdoors to bottomless pens. The pens are moved daily to fresh grass, and keep the birds protected from predators and the elements. They don't have their beaks clipped off as in conventional chicken-raising. Our chickens eat all sorts of things outside; seeds, grubs, insects, and also have access to water and a grain-based, additive-free diet. They are not given antibiotics growth hormones, or medications.

Free-range Turkey  Our poults are also a day old when we get them, and are raised just like our chickens.
